>Mayor Manlapid (they/them/theirs) is an undergraduate Psychology student at the University of California - Santa Cruz. While in high school, they founded a mental health awareness club, designed and led campus mural projects, and served as an Event Coordinator in their school's Best Buddies chapter. They continued working alongside the ASD community after high school and directed their professional focus towards better supporting neurodivergent youth in academic environments. In their free time, they enjoy illustrating and reading comics. However, Mayor's strongest interest lies within research, and they aspire to one day further our understanding of mental conditions. With NAMI Next Gen, they hope they can bring light to intersectionality's importance in mental health advocacy and give voice to populations of youth that otherwise feel voiceless.
