Lauren B. Simonds, MSW, is a member of the NAMI Board of Directors since 2021, elected to fill the seat from the NAMI Executive Directors Council, and has been the Executive Director of NAMI Washington since 2014.

Lauren first became involved with NAMI in the Spring of 2014 when she applied for the Executive Director position with NAMI Washington, she is the first person to fill this role at NAMI WA. Her first day was September 2nd, 2014 to attend NAMICon in D.C.

Lauren has more than 30 years of experience working with non-profit organizations and has worked as a nonprofit Executive Director for 20 of those years.

She earned her B.A. at Boston University and her MSW at University of Washington.

For the 2022-2023 Board year, she serves on the Justice Systems, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
