Pooja Mehta, M.P.H., is a member of the NAMI Board of Directors and serves as a Legislative Fellow for the U.S. House of Representatives. She is a member of NAMI North Carolina and has served as a Board Member for NAMI New York State, a Development Director and Special Events Manager for NAMI North Carolina, and the founder and President of NAMI on Campus - Duke University.

Pooja has dedicated her time with NAMI to grow youth engagement with NAMI and bring awareness of NAMI resources to marginalized communities and people with lived experiences.

She earned her B.S. in Biology and Global Health from Duke University and her M.P.H. from Columbia University.

For the 2022-2023 Board year, Pooja serves as Co-Chair to the Youth & Young Adults Mental Health Outreach Workgroup, and is a member of the Justice Systems, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
